Position Summary • This position will report directly to the Global Supplier Quality, Development and System Manager. This position is a multi-functional role within the Supplier Quality Excellence team. It will focus on supplier quality management and material quality management within assigned supply commodities to ensure a consistent and stable supply of quality materials are delivered to the manufacturing lines. This position will also be accountable for all Global supplier performance metrics and ensure that NCR suppliers meet the established supplier PPM performance objectives.
Excellent skills in planning, organizing and project management are required. A high level of knowledge in 8D, 5 Why, and DMAIC methodologies.
A strong history in PPAP and QMS is very desirable. This position will also support Supply Line activities and other cross functional teams on Cost Reduction, CoPQ, On-time Delivery and Inventory Turns.
Key Areas of Responsibility • Responsible for monitoring Global supplier quality performance, data collection supporting supplier quality targets and subsequent analysis of data to measure suppliers against established performance goals • Responsible for on-site supplier visits to qualify potential suppliers as well as timely assessments to ensure suppliers perform to NCR expectations • Implements a continuous improvement culture through the use of Six Sigma methodologies by applying the appropriate defect preventions tools to ensure supplier quality improvements • Qualify all new programs and parts revision if identified as Medium or High Risk using the PPAP process. • Support procurement, NPI and engineering as needed with suppliers in relation to quality, part qualification and delivery of products and services • Resolves quality issues and ensures that the Closed Loop Corrective Action process is used to drive root cause corrective action.
• Provide Technical assistance to Manufacturing/Engineering/QA on procured items and modules from supply line perspective • Offers subject matter expertise that contributes to the development and implementation of NCR products, services, and initiatives. Actively works on and is engaged in complex Supplier Quality-related problems, issues, or opportunities which require in-depth evaluation across multiple disciplines Basic Requirements • Bachelors Degree in Engineering • Minimum of 3 years of related experience • Green Belt Certification from an accredited institution or company program • Excellent communication skills • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization • Demonstrated experience as an ISO or TS 16949 auditor • Experience using and applying statistical tools such as Cpk, SPC, Pareto, and Control Charts • Experience using 6 Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, PPAP, and Plan, Do, Study, Act Preferred Requirements • At least 3 years of Supplier Quality Engineer experience supporting supplier system auditing and manufacturing process control.
• Familiar with MRP/ERP or similar Manufacturing Management Software Systems • Excellent PC application knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PPT, Excel) and the internet • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification • Good command of both oral and written English • Major in Mechanical engineering, Electronic & Electricity • Prefer ISO, Six Sigma Black Belt or Class A certifications • Knowledge of purchasing and sourcing activities **NCR offers a competitive base salary, 401(K), strong work/family programs, along with comprehensive medical, dental and disability coverage
